“Your page needs a quick check”

Why a new page can be held before it goes live, and what happens next.

To keep visitors safe, we check pages as they're published for signs of phishing: pretending to be a bank, a payment app or another brand, asking people to log in or verify an account, or links that hide where they go.

Most pages are never held. If a page from a new account looks like that, it waits for a person on our team to look at it. Your current page stays as it is while we check, usually within a day.

  • If it's fine, we email you, and the next time you tap Publish it goes live straight away.
  • If something on it isn't allowed by our Acceptable Use Policy, we'll tell you what to change.
